When you're promised a night of vanilla rum, rainbow macaroons and a sneak preview into a summer clothes collection and magazine launch, you know you're in for an interesting night, and was what THE WHITEPEPPER promised for their Nordic Summer '15 launch on Thursday.

Seeing as I was working behind the scenes with them, it was amazing to see how far the studio had come. It's already a beautiful location, being underneath the Haggerston railway lines, but it was transformed by eclectic hanging bulbs, cute frames and prints and the spring/summer collection out for display. It was the first time a press event had been in the new offices so whilst the building was still being fixed up to the last minute, people were awestruck when they came in.

Even though I spent the duration being the 'bar' serving The Five Point Brewing Company ales and Pink Pigeon Vanilla rum (super popular all night) it wasn't hard to see it was a success. With DJ Fabienne at the decks, a photo booth with jungle and nautical themed accessories and Instagrammable rainbow meringues from the local Meringue Girls, it was an amazing night full of crazy people who just loved the brand.  Magazine editors, stylists and bloggers perused the new collections and picked out their favourites with many oohing and aahing over the dinosaur and shark print pieces. When you write about the products eight hours a day, you become desensitised to it so it's amazing to see it through someone else's eyes for the first time. My favourites are the Midi Spaghetti Smock Dress (obviously) and the Wave Print kimonos which I was happy to style for the evening with the trusty Round Heel Ankle boots. And gorging on tasty treats of course and snaffling a goody bag of course. Anyone for a Unicorn Poo meringue?
