Nottingham vintage

Vintage shopping is always something I’ll check out when I’m in a new city as many have the best hidden gems for a perfect one off piece (as there’s nothing worse than passing someone on the street with the same top). And after my lovely friend Liz who has one of the best vintage wardrobe selections, she gave me some tips and advice for the best in Nottingham vintage.

Not wanting to be that diamond-shoes-are-too-tight kinda gal but I find vintage hard to fit me as I’m a skinny bugger, and many sizes always seem to be from size 10 to 14. Yet Cow has some amazingly well fitting styles for skinny minnies, from printed trousers, hoards of dungarees and even a large selection of leather bags and shoes. I particularly loved a gorgeous on-trend floral midi skirt and gingham trousers, perfect for a work to date wardrobe.I was spoilt for choice and the store itself is so light and pretty to wander around in so you’re guaranteed to leave with something

If you’re a fan of bargains and all things kitsch then this London sign inspired shop is for you. Whilst not as much vintage as the other two and more charity tops from M&S and other high street stores, there are some great bargains for only a couple of quid and loads of handmade jewellery to add to your collection.

Reminding me mainly of Rokit in Brick Lane, it was a mash of beaten up old jackets and zany printed shirts. This is the true vintage lovers dream and my beady eye caught some Cher from Clueless co-ords and skirts. It has a large men's and women's section with a lot of the styles unisex so delve right in for a cheaper shop than London but just as amazing.

I always knew it was much cheaper up North but when you find some gorgeous vintage secrets, it turns out not so much when you go on a super shopping spree that would put anyone to shame.
