Covent Garden is a haven for tourists and overcrowding on a weekend and is a place I actively avoid unless relatives come into town and want to brunch. So stumbling upon FARMSTAND just off the main square was a welcome break for a relaxing morning enriched with nourishing food.
It was ridiculously quiet for a Saturday morning, something that is almost unheard of in central London. You feel invited in straight away with the best chilled vibe music that got me Shazamming every few minutes.
It’s got everything an Instagrammee wants; exposed brick walls, open windows for light and of course a marble bar for all of your coffee pictures #latteart. But it’s the food that will get me returning for more.
The breakfast options range from pots of chia seeds and mango for on the go, or my favourite which was quinoa porridge with pear compote and granola. Fancy something savoury? Then you can have a ‘fry up’ with shakshuka eggs, spinach and mushrooms. It was pretty hard to choose so luckily we settled for both, losing a few hours as we chatted over the food and the rich coffee.
The lunch menu sounds even more exciting as you assemble your own from chickpeas and butternut squash to chicken and avocado. I’ll be heading there for when I need something healthy yet filling after one of those ‘ pizzas every night’ weeks.
If you need somewhere quiet yet beautiful when next in town, head to FARMSTAND and take your pick of foods to make you feel ridiculously satisfied whilst staying healthy.
Thanks Farmstand for inviting us to spend the perfect morning.
